While updates on the earthquake and the corresponding response and relief continue to receive much press (including a Princess Diana connection), today's news contains a lot of economic news including rumors of the sale of Wong to a Chilean company and a Bloomberg report saying the China may ramp up their investments in Peru.

On a celebratory note, Peru's Luis Horna moves forward at the US Open.

GENERAL QUAKE UPDATE:
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) offers several detailed maps. The main map accompanies the UN's aid appeal and shows the response and still unmet needs in the region; other maps are of the Community Kitchen Locations in San Clemente as well as Camp Locations in Chincha. In Spanish, they provide a map of Local Populations and Infrastructure in Ica.
