QUAKE UPDATE: The US Agency for International Development released an 'Earthquake Program Map' as of August 27, which details the geography of some of the relief. And the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs released their 'Earthquake OCHA Situation Report No. 10' which reports that the "Ministry of Transports and Communications informed that road problems caused by the earthquake have been addressed and there no more blocked roads in country." It also informs that through August 26, 22:00 hours:

CAPTURING IQUITOS: Global Envision, an initiative of Mercy Corp, features Jake Lyell's photographs of Iquitos, "the largest city in the world unreachable by road. " Lyell has been collaborating with the People of Peru Project and the Global Envision photos come from a photo essay, Water Borne Poverty, on his blog. See also his essay on Lima's Pueblos Jovenes.
