Click here for resources on how and where to send aid in response to the August 15 earthquake.
Though quake news tapers off as Mario Testino's photograph of Diana hits the society pages (including the Washington Post), the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs released their 'Earthquake OCHA Situation Report No. 13'.
Luis Horna was defeated yesterday in the second round of the Men's Singles in the US Open by Nicolas Almagro, 6-4, 6-2, 2-1 (US Open) but Peru's U-17 team in Korea plays in the quarter finals tomorrow.
Apparently investors and politicians are willing to ponder a railway from Paita, Peru to Cruzeiro do Sul, Brazil perhaps forgetting the type of Amazon topograph in northeastern Peru.
And the Houston Chronicle's Eileen McClelland has a series of travel articles focused on Cuzco and Lima.
GENERAL QUAKE UPDATE:
The Houston Chronicle has a series of travel articles by Eileen McClelland posted almost simultaneously including articles on Cuzco and Lima.
