TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS:
The long trip back to Peru for many Machu Picchu artifacts that Hiram Bingham took with him to Yale seem to finally be at a turning point. Somewhat ironically this comes as Gene Savoy, the colorful explorer of other Peruvian antiquities, dies at age 80.
'Mr. Gauguin's Heart, a children's book (for ages 6-9) by Marie-Danielle Croteau, is quickly reviewed by Canada's The Record. The book focuses on the travel by ship from Denmark to the artist's grandmother's home country. And when they arrive in Callao, the young Gaugin doesn't want to leave the ship.
